Right then - It's probably safe to assume that most of you would have spotted this on 'the auction site' last week, but what's the story - anyone know?

As it was made in Bradford I just had to have a go at it but it went over my top bid!

No connection with Rob's 'Tessted' engine is there (John?).

I saw that one Stephen and was very intreagued! It looks like an MM1 with custom bits added, but the box implies its commercially made. A very interesting piece, im sure we'll all want to see more images of it like I do.

I had a bid  on it as well, but it went out of my reach.

All I can tell you is that it is a Nellist, as you say made in Bradford by H Nellist and Co.  Ian (Mamodfan) might be able to add a bit more info.

I don't have anything to do with 'another forum' Chad, I haven't a bargepole long enough. However, if this engine appears perhaps you'd be kind enough to relay any information please.

Thanks for the info John - I just KNEW you'd come up trumps. What others did they make?

That I don't know Stephen, sorry.  It certainly looked to be a nice bit of kit.
