Over the last 12 hours or so i have been building an RAF Fauld wagon.
Based on the one now located at Amberley
http://amberleynarrowgauge.co.uk/fauldwagon.htm

The chassis is an old Binnie engineering skip chassis.
The wood i used  is  Hobby's 10mmx2mm pine strip. Great stuff, the only down side to the stuff is it has massive grain, so it wouldnt really make good scale wood for 16mm.
The straping is small brass angle, which i found on a cheap tool stool at the great dorset steam fair of all places! (was unable to find any small enough in model shops, or even a model engineering rally)

I would quite like to make another, but using naturally dark wood, with small grain, so it looks more like the original. Mine has paint slapped on all over it, which doesnt looks to good close up.
