I was going to say! I had a scrap piece of rod that had been threaded to M6 and that tightened up in the threads before getting the entire length... |

Info on Mamod level plugs thread sizes.
The most common is 3/16" BSF but the early SE's (pre 1963ish) have a 3/16" BSW thread (coarser).
BEWARE of mistaking 'stiffness' in the thread for scale build-up or corrosion, it ain't necessarily so!
The early N&B TE1's and SR1's also had BSW threads! _________________ Stephen
