I use old Chinese take away containers as chuff pots, pierce the lid with enough holes, insert pipe and job done.

Indeed nothing elaborate but they work easily as good as any manufactured stuff Ive seen. I know there are more elaborate ones, Geoff (Oz steam demon) in Australia makes some amazing ones, but these are perfectly fine for me.

Due to arrive omwb next week will be an MM1 which needs an oily cloth rub over and a little boiler polishing. The other is a 1978 MM2 with sight glass again boiler needs a little polish the firebox an oily wipe over but the base I'm afraid will need a new spray job. Here are some pictures of the to engines due to arrive.. Smile

Sadly, no before photo. But I picked up these two SP engines locally for less than £100 the pair. The SP2 is boxed and both are unfired. An hour or so with some WD40 and a soft rag to take off the dust and loose dirt and they have come up quite well!
