Yes but also independent of anyone from a forum who deems to want to take control - that includes me.

Some of the creeps in charge of that other forum would seek to use it as a tool to exclude many, and I include myself in that.

I have no desire to have to look after it myself, just to make my position clear.

That would be wrong for them to use this in such away as to exclude people like ourselves from looking at the forum.. Evil or Very Mad

They would.

I haven't seen Mike for a long while, last time was in 2007 or 8 at STIA.

If Mike can be contacted it may be saved. if not then a new site would need to be built.

However it would lose a lot of the content as much or all of the images will be copyright, I for one have no desire to have my work taken form the current TSB and added to a new one, unless I'm happy with by whom and how it would be run.

I know its only a bloody toy steam website
but copyright must be respected. If a new one is made, lets say, by another individual from the other forum, I for one, want all my pictures removed.

I'm happy with it as it stands as I've uploaded them and they belong to the 'old' site. Too many clowns already have used my work for their own ends and that includes use of my imagery.

I think if Mike cannot be contacted regarding the site, we might as well kiss it goodbye in its present format and current ownership/domain name.

Sh!te will fly if any of my content 'appears' on a new site without my express permission.

Watching the issues with the site closely...

I see Mike has surfaced. I hope he is able to address the technical challenges and issues relating to the site.

I see no reason why Mike has to have a helping (interfering?) hand. I speak for a few people when I say the site is perfectly fine as it is, barring a few technical tweaks.

As for the words of other, deeds are stronger...

Hi Mike just an update Mike has been in touch with the other steam forum and seems to be on board about getting a few issues sorted out on the toy steam bible. I think once this is done I think Sandy has mentioned in the post that no matter what steam forum you are from that everyone will be able to access the toy steam bible and add or remove which content you want. Looks like once and for all its going to live on but we shall watch this space.. Very Happy

Mmmm, we'll see.  Rolling Eyes

As long as they stay away from it (the site management) things will be just fine.

Is anyone dealing with this?

Do you want me to take a look at restoring it?

Hi Will,

unsure. The site has been up and down for a while now. It would be great if the valuable asset could be revived.

It is looking like it is lost forever.
What I'm really asking is if I could somehow take over its management would that be acceptable to all participants.

Mike has uploaded all the files presumably with the intention of someone downloading them and continuing the site.

Hosting the site is extremely simple.
Here is a (non-live) link that took me 5 mins to configure -->> http://toysteambible.ddns.net/toysteambible-master/index.htm
Demo site only.
Getting someone (acceptable to all) to manage it, is not.

If this is already being dealt with I will go away.

I have emailed him but I don't know if he will respond.

Will
