But it doesn't on the mamod locos, but then there is a sleeve in the boiler, some where push fitted and others soldered. _________________ Cheers,

Mr Malins wanted to get rid of solder on boilers at one time
And use locktight to glue the joints

I think you are right John, I would like to see something beefier on there, maybe a D455 boiler . . .
Its not a half bad concept! having something of the 1929 engine about it!  _________________

The full compliment of Meccano engines........
This was the first Meccaon steam engine to be produced circa 1918 - 1920
This one is worth arond £1200
This is the original advert
And this is the 1929 version
With Mike's two engines, this is the full compliment of four.............. | am i correct in thinking that the earliest vertical meccano engine was german made? |
