The D101 in steam, a nice little engine. Ran for nearly 20 minutes.

Ran the D14 and the D455 today, so nice to see these two steaming again.

The D14 is a real screamer - needs a regulator like the D141. I may retrofit one as the engine literally runs away with itself.

The D455 is more sedate, is my oldest Wilesco I have owned, purchased new back in 1990.

I have put videos on my channel if you care to take a look.

Hanging onto it!

Both engine put in 15 min plus runs, the D14 nearer 20 minutes as it takes 4 tablets.

Both engines used the round wax type solid fuel tabs...

Mike two really nice engines and both run really well. I have just received my new D14 today I have the new Wilesco manometer in the post so just waiting for that to arrive so I can fit it to my new D14 then I will post some pictures.
The next engine on my hit list will be the D455. Very Happy

Added a small spacer to the crankshaft on the D12. Too much lateral slap! Comes apart pretty easily. The engine now runs very smoothly indeed.

Thanks, it is. Im rather taken by the very simple design, quite punchy with just one cylinder and biggish boiler.

Made a rare steam purchase. Got a rather nice M56 model plate for the Wilesco engines to drive. Left all my drive bands at the other house so just posed it here.

All the engines are here except for the D16 and D405 tractor.

Purchased from my chums at Forest, lightening delivery and service! 10/10.
