well the flywheel is of some use
the entire thing is built from bar stock
I only have a small lathe and a drill press which I have attached a cross slide vice so it doubles as a mill
the engine is in the rough unfinished stage
I now need to pull it to bits and finish and polish and build a boiler
if you look closely at the rotary valve you will see that i put the grooves the wrong way around
this is what happens when your plans are incomplete and the brain does not work |

Dennis that far in better of what I can do, Im not a builder like that... thats pretty damn good by most peoples standards and will look terrific when its finally finished off and painted and of course attached to a boiler. What are your plans for the boiler to drive this? Are you making that too? _________________

well the boiler is still in the thinking stage but I have been toying with the idea of a vertical possibly utilizing another 4 inch artillery shell
as I now have myself a 4 ton arbor press so can make formers and shape the boiler top. I will possibly have the top domed. If i do this boiler then I will have plenty in reserve for bigger engines |
