After reading about Stephens super restoration of his Bowman it got me thinking. I've done quite a few engines but the only before and after shot I have is of this little engine.
Its a or rather the remains of a pre war Mamod ME1, an unusual beast and worthy of the treatment.
I was lucky enough to get some good pictures of an original Hobbies engine from a forum member. (You know who you are so thank you )
From the pics I managed to reconstruct the boiler assembly. The only thing left to do when the picture was taken was to fit a suitable prop.

That's the one, just a shame I had to hand it back to its owner. I liked the look of it so much MFSteam had to have one
Thanks Stephen

That's a really lovely job Ian and worthy of celebration here!
I'm quite capable of a bit of restoration but when it comes to reconstruction - I'm quite in awe of your skill (and I hope you'll continue to let me and everyone else tap into it - no pun itended!) _________________ Stephen
