You guys probably saw my SE1 after I got it running. I think it had been in a fireball as it was all black. I sorted the boiler bushes and pipework and made a burner to get it running. Here it is after that work
6 weeks ago today my wife and I had a new arrival (a little girl), needless to say I've not had much chance to work on my steam roller, but I thought I'd have a go at this engine.
The red and green are halfords paint, both laqured. The firebox is some satin BBQ paint, the firebox was badly pitted. I made a new boiler strap, bought a burner on e-bay, and ajusted the pipework to resemble the proper Mamod lines.
I've a few jobs yet, I assume I need to paint inside the chimney red?, perhaps a waterslide transfer, but next on the agenda are some rubber feet and rivetts. Hope you like.

Hedd,
Firstly congratulations on the new arrival. I wondered why you hadn't been on a lot recently.
Secondly that is a first rate restoration job. Looks very professionally done _________________
