Thats serious snow . . .

We're forecast to possibly have a light covering of snow tomorrow - about 1cm at the most ... no doubt enough to bring everywhere to a standstill

It might be enough to stop me getting out of my drive to go to work in the morning, it was last year! Oh well shame

The book I'm reading from which the pic's are from 'Snow,Flood and Tempest' has many more photo's from way back, it's something I have never thought about but it seems that poeple were trapped on these trains for at times up to 3 days.

The top pic is dated 27th Jan 1942 the other pic is not dated but 47 could be a good bet.
