We dont see so much of the Well designed stationary. How exactly does the flywheel/disc crank stay on the shaft, it does not look like the shaft passes through the casting from the vid, but I cant tell for sure?
Scorpion2nz
Casting is Aluminum with a steel tube bearing through it which the flywheel shaft runs through .there is room on end of shaft beside firebox for a pulley
and the flywheel is a press fit on the shaft

Thanks Dennis, alway puzzled me. You need a Kenneth Well's designed TE for the set!

That's a nice design. I like the deep-set boiler, seems to improve the flame retention and presumable therefore, the steam-making.
Scorpion2nz
well the burner has 3 wicks and if you look closely near the end of the video you will see that the burner is pulled out so only 2 burners are going and it still goes fine

Yes I noticed that. The steam generation side could quite probably power a bigger engine?
John Chapman
Excellent engine, just that little bit different.

Well I thought the engine was a reasonable size any way. piston diameter is about 8mm with a stroke of about 18mm

Stick it next to a Mamod for scale!

Thanks Dennis, it all becomes clear! Thats quite a big Oscillating cylinder.

Ohh I like that
I like how the flywheel seems to sit inside the engine frame
