Well done freesteam, happy birthdayNot sure if i can make it this evening but here's a start.
Well done to Freesteam & it's members for completing a second successful year
A few pics of my Bowman based workshop being powered by the Beast !
I need to tidy up the base board & give it a coat of varnish/stain.
Drive bands were made from nitrile cord, bought from ''Altec''
I must say they work very well & will be buying a few more metres very soon.
I tend to use one of Ian's brass burners to run this engine, as they're far more robust than the originals.

I think that 101/Lion can handle a lot more Mike!
Great shots indeed, always room for more Bowman stuff here!

That's really nice Mike, lovely selection of Bing tools and the transmission shaft's a corker!

I fancy one of those lineshafts too, they look so right for a Bowman engine.

What size nitrile cord are you using? I looks pretty substantial.

Thanks for the positive comments.
It's another ongoing project, i tried to get the base finished for today
but steam time is exceedingly limited at the moment.
The nitrile cord is 2mm from the engine & 1.5mm on the tools.
I use a tiny smear of low viscosity superglue to join them, which dries in seconds.

Im still using coiled wire type, but they are expensive. Where do you get this cord? Is it cheaper too! FS charge £6.00 for 5 12" bands.
