Values of EnginesI was offered a few engines by a freind of mine today and was just wondering what they were worth approximatley. Unfortunatley I didn't get any pictures
Apologies for the lack of information, but I hope I give you some idea of what I am on about.
Firstly there was a brass flywheel, flat base MM2. The engine was complete with original wick burner. The firebox, engine frame and the top side of the base had been repainted. However the burner and flywheel were still original. It may be possible to restore the original colours using acetone (?). What would it be worth in the condition described?
Secondly there was the engine, boiler and firebox from an MM2. This had a mazak flywheel and was in good overall condition. I may use the spare base I have and make a new clip thing to hold the boiler on.
Next was a Doll (?) engine unit. By the looks of it, it came from a Doll 347/3. It was missing the govener and the walkway next to the cylinder. Paint on this was original and in good condition.
Finally there was an enigne I couldn't identify. It had a flywheel very identical to the ones used on the Doll steam rollers with the arrows cast in.
Like this...
Looking at the picture of the roller, the piston and cylinder assembly looks similar to the one I saw, however this seems to be true with quite a few german engine makers.
The engine base was pressed steel and would have origionally been mounted to the main base with folding tabs. A gear drive was taken off of the crankshaft to a secondary pulley. The paint on this was completely gone so I couldn't seen the original livery. The engine looked something like the engine on this one, but with the solid flywheel and the gear drive
Many thanks in advance for any help you can give me!

There is no mobile, looking at my post I see where the confusion arose. All I meant was the flywheel was the same as on the roller
