Two days sailing at APSJust to remind you all that the Abbey Pumping Station Pool will be up and running over the two days of the Urban Rally, 28th/29th June. The pool is about 36 foot by 16 foot with a minimum depth of four inches although most is around 7 inches. All types of boat are welcome, I shall be running steamboats, poppops and Star yachts myself, but the facilities for submarines are very limited.
We have a barbeque on the Saturday night so I'm hoping to arrange some sort of floodlighting if the weather is kind.
Please PM me if you intend to come as the actual event is in the hands of our control freaks and the organisation makes STIA look like a Vicarage Tea Party.
Incidentally, along with all the vehicles etc, we shall be steaming three beam engines simultaneously with the fourth turning hydraulically. A sight unique in the world.
