The Mastrand Traction Engine (Does it exsist)

The Mastrand Traction Engine (Does it exsist)
I've never heard of a Mastrand traction engine untill I recieved this email via my website

Dear Mike
I have a Mastrand Traction Engine which was purchased from Gamages in Feb 1948. It is very similar to the Steam Roller illustrated on your web site except that it has two wheels on the front axle rather than the roller. It is somewhat rusty but most of the paint is OK if a little dirty. All of the parts seem to be with it and it is all in the original box base - no lid. The instruction leaflet is there, which is how I know the purchase details as my father wrote them on the leaflet. I can't remember when we last fired it up but it certainly used to run OK. Might this be of any interest to you?

Has anyone here seen or heard of a Mastrand traction engine ?
While I'm on the subject of Mastrand, heres is a pic of my rust bucket

cant say i have ever seen one, Manx may know of this - he'd certainly want one. Can you get any images of it Mike?
Manxman

Please go slow. I'd love to see a pic. But, I've never seen a Mastrand TE but that doesn't mean one doesn't exist.

Ask for some pictures and of course Mike is totally right, if it turns out to be right, I'd love to add another Mastrand to my collection. Very Happy

Get to work then Mike!

Thinking about it the only change that would be needed would be a different front fork and wheels, wonder if it would have a different smokebox front too? Intregued!

I've emailed the seller back and asked for some pics  Very Happy
Thinking about it, it would not have been to difficult for Mastrand to make a TE
