The latest addition to the OO stableI part exchanged this against some LGB track:
A beautiful Hornby Railways LB&SCR E2 0-6-0T. Runs really well too, which is a bonus. I for one like it, with the Southern and it's predecessors being my preferred region 8) One question, what year/years was it produced?

Thomas is based on an E2! Found out that this engine was produced between 79 and 82 If you see the black version with Southern lettering, GET IT as they are the rarest and most collectable version

OOOOH a King!
I think the engine i thought was Lord of the Isles behind the Warship was the 14XX
I think i need some more GWR locos I would like a King, a Castle, a new Hall (old Hornby, dont run to well), a County, a old 4-4-0 County, a closed cab Pannier, a Flying Banana railcar, a Pannier crane tank (there are plans on the internet), a new 14XX (mines a old airfix one-dont run to well)... and of course a model of a GWR depot to store them all

Precisely 8) Plus having a main shed means no need for a fiddle yard, unless you plan on having a railway on going to and coming from somewhere...
|

So it will just be the sheds of the preserved railway

No. It will be the main station, and the sheds. A bit like the Spa Valley Railway, but more of a demonstration line than a railway in its own right. And without Homebase and the Sainsbury's car park as a backdrop

What like Didcot? Thats more of a demonstration than a railway

Just ran the E2 and Wimblebury, and I am VERY impressed. Although 'Wimble' as she is now known is rather noisy in terms of the motor. Fair to say though she was running on a rather hard surface... The E2, being an old engine also gave off the usual smell of burning dust
