Steamwally's enginesI have a mamod steam wagon, fire engine, traction engine, SP4, workshop, wilesco roller, D20, machine tools and a unit steam engine which I have modified with a mamod flywheel.
My most recent purchase is actualy a petrol stationary engine which is a reverse rotation Wolseley WD 8 from 1950 but it weighs about 140KG so I think I will stick to Model engines in the future as the other problem is where to put big engines.
If you go onto youtube and search steamwally then you can see all my engines and my adventures!

Hi Mate, im petterwill (the guy who directed you here)
Im sure we can help although I dont own an SP4 it could just be the engine vibrations making a noise which is resinating up from the surface you run it on as the SP4 is on a raised base

Welcome to the forum!
My SP4 (my first engine) is 11 years old this year and must of had several hundred hours running on the clock and is starting to get a bit noisy (it has a slightly bent con-rod that doesn't help)

Welcome Phillip.
My only examples in the SP range are a 1 & 2 - they're both very smooth, reasonably quiet runners!
