steam wagon front axle

I bought a sw1 a couple of weeks ago & sadly during transit the front axle broke. It's snapped where the steering column joins onto the axle pivot. Anybody know what size & type of thread was used for this?
Perhaps we should compile a list of the thread sizes used for all the bits as a reference for restorations?

I dont know the exact size Mike, but the whole assembly can be purchased complete, they aren't that expensive . . .

A resource for threads sizes and other technical information might to useful, I could make a technical resource section if members want it . . .

A resto resource section could be a good idea. Close up pics & technical inforamtion are always good for a sympathetic restoration Very Happy

Thread sizes, dimentions and colour etc are always a "Does anyone know . . ." type of area . . . Laughing
