Solder.

Just a quick question Gents, End-cap's...should I use hard or soft solder to attach one. Thanks.

solder

Use soft solder but not electrical solder to low melting point Any good plumber solder will be fine.

Plumbers solder is what I use too.
8_10 Brass Cleaner

I use electrical solder, always have, always will.

Nothing wrong with it. The benefit is that it is in thin wire so your soldering will be tidier.

Plumbers solder is in 1/8 wire, and maked a mess. If you must use it beat it into a thin strip with a hammer, and cut it into thin strips longways using the wifes bestest scisiors.

Mamod use a solder/flux paste that they paint on and cook.

Can you still get the solder/flux paste?
Scorpion2nz

silver solder for the fittings ie bushes
and soft for the endcaps
therefore less chance of fittings coming loose while doing the endcaps
and the endcaps will be removable by your great grand kids when they refurbish the engine next time
