Small fasteners

Doing a bit with German engines, as I do, I recently found myself in need of two 2.5mm (yes - 2.5mm!!) screws to fix a the water gauge back onto a 1960's Fleischmann.

A Google search threw up a company in Sutton Coldfield called Pratt Lay Ltd. Their website goes under their trading name of Stagonset. All I can say is that they are excellent. The site is easy to navigate and if you just want 1 bolt at 3p you can order it, and the p&p won't hurt either! It's all stainless steel, no brass, but the range is terrific.

Last order I got some grub screws just for stock - after all if you have to refix a flywheel that was previously just an interference fit, it's got to be a new hole and you may as well tap it in metric! Highly recommended!

This may be old news to some, but may be useful to others.
