The main flywheel edge, there is one is Toyshop Steam, however it is not a variation I have actually seen much of.

As its a early Hobbies engine I wonder if Mr Malins used some of the old Bowman flywheels
The flywheel on the Hobbies engine seems to be very similer to that of the Bowman M135
Just a thourt

The SE4 FW is a lot different to the 135/158 wheels Mike.

lots of brass .nice to see.
but i have a problem with the displacement Lubricator ??
I thought the theory was steam enters through a small hole in the pipe and condenses and displaces a minute amount of oil?? which enters the steam line ??correct . now my problem is I thought oil floats on water There fore in my opinion the steam pipe is to low as in theory after a short run the water would be up to the steam pipe and the oil would float on top therefore negating the whole lubricator

when you screw the cap on it forces most of the oil down the steam pipe anyway

It makes you wonder if the SE4 would run better without the lubricator
