Reversing lever for mamod locosTo stop myself burning my fingers on the lever on the mamod locos i have made a little handle that slips easily on and off.
Just made from some copper pipe with the end crimped and heat shrink around it

The simplest ideas are always the best . . . .

A good idea steamjim, but isn't the heatshrink in the wrong place? Surely you want the copper exposed where you don't touch it (to allow it to dissipate heat) and covered where you do touch it (to preserve those fingers when the heat does conduct it's way to the end)?

Yes but it wont stay on there all the time. I will set the direction then take it of then use the cab regulator (with heatshrink on) to control the speed
