Pre-war Mamod marine engineThere was a rather tatty speedboat with a pre-war Mamod marine engine on Ebay last week. I was on a real steamer on the Nile when it finished but I left a snipe on it but was heavily outgunned. The boat itself wasn't much but the engine appeared genuine enough. Probably a lot rarer than the Meteor.

The engine Fred, was a pre-war Mamod ME1, the boat it was in wasn't much . . . £315 was the closing bid!

It was only the windscreen if I recall correctly. The engine looked OK. Ah well I did get a Miss England but pop-pops aren't quite as satisfying.

easily made but not the point, at 315 it was well over the odds for an incomplete engine, it looked in good condition a you say.
