Porthmadog Model Show 09Every year this show becomes a bit higher in quality, with lots of layouts majority of which are nice, but some of them lacked the train operation. I.P Engineering were there, with yet more new products, some 7/8ths scale coaches, a Penrhyn Quarrymen's coach (currently writing the instructions, to be about £30) and a very nice tractor-like loco, but the most notable thing to me was that he's now selling stripwood, 5mm ply AND 3mm ply so very handy for scratch builders.

A very nice 0-14 model of FR Dinas, I spoke to the chap later in the evening and he has fitted the smoke generator in the fairlie so that the draincocks also have steam!

My faviroute layout, it was a small american one....
...the layout operator is actually driving the crane that fills the wagons.
As I will soon have half of a hefty bill to pay I decided to lay off any purchases, apart from some wood from I.P and a pair of 0-16.5 bogies.
