Pair of Pre-war Minors...

...well, almost. Laughing

I put them on a towel to keep them from walking around, but then they started to bounce, splashing meths out the twins burner, so I had to put a cork in the filler hole.

The single cylinder was priming a bit in this video.

Minors always a delight to watch...

...and after they had been running for a couple of minutes:

Interesting that the MM1 single is making most of the noise as far as I can tell. Must be the different tolerances and the ware difference in both engines. Excellent.
MFSteam

Nice to see the minor 1 running, I wish my pair would perform Crying or Very sad

The twin is almost silent in person.

Most of the noise coming from the single was when it was priming. It was a bit stiff at first, but after it's first run today in probably several years, it's a lot smoother.

They both need a bit of work. The twin needs some adjustment on the line up of the cylinders, one is also tight and the burner has a hole in it.

The Minor 1 needs the steam pipe re soldering on the port face.

I look forward to seeing them run when done, should be too difficult to sort.

Nobody will know...just put the video up for an hour so we can watch it and then delete it. Laughing

Give it a good clean, and put it back on the shelf.
