Overtype overtureThe overtype steam engine is a very popular configuration and is still with us today (SP2, D14 etc). Here are a few from the collection gathered together for a few pictures. Mamod, Wilesco and the many German manufacturers have all done it. Strangley Bowman of Dereham never made one or Cyldon... or Mersey (?)
Other overtypes would include such nice engines as the Careast as well as Bing and Doll and of course Jensen. It would be nice to see some further examples of this very compact and successful steam engine style.
Models here includes a Wilesco D14, two MM1s from 49 and 75 as well as the Luton Bowman PW202 and the MFtwin...

You have some fine engines Mike, that little Luton is the pick of the bunch for me

Luton seem quite popular just now. The 202 is a little gem, I agree.
