OldstuffAh...how nice to be here!
My name's Chuck Potts and I live in Detroit, Michigan U.S.A. I'm 50 years old, and care-take
my dear old Dad for the time being.
My collecting of toy steam engines began a few short years ago. I recently began building
my own engines and find it so rewarding and challenging that it's become my primary pursuit!
I like experimenting, finding new designs, and new ways to make the parts and things.
My engines are pretty basic and definately fall into the toy steam category.
Simple, single-cylinder oscillators have long been my preference, but I recently
challenged myself to build a twin-cylinder and I'm amazed how much I like it. 8)
The Mamod Minor 2 was my favorite engine until I bought and old crank disk Minor 1.
I like it's simple economy and so I used a crank-disk design for my first engine!
