newest arrivalsthese arrived today. these seem very well made. paid £23 for all three all the paint is as new and perfect condition and two are boxed.
when did they start making these with this type of base?

and a SR1 1965 in good condition and boxed. well chuffed with it. now i need a 61,63,64,66

Well done Will. The latest SP tools aren't everyone's cup of tea but personally I think they're quite smart, are they for the new workshop? I'm sure Mike'll give you the lowdown on your date query.
The SR1 looks really nice, surely must be an early one just post nut & bolt maybe?

i also quite like the newer tools. the roller is i think one of the first riveted ones as boiler still held to firebox with N&B and not copper rivets

yep are for the new workshop. does anyone know if there is a line shaft made with the same base?

the ones i need are 61, 63, 64, 66

1961 would be the earliest, 63 I suppose because it has a steel vap lamp and hence a tow hook, 1965 because it has now moved to pop rivet fastenings and 67 because it has now become the bi-directional Sr1a, 68 because it became the SR1a but with Mazak wheels...
