Isn't it though. It is an oscillating cylinder but very unusual. I'll take some more detailed photos when I get back into circulation.

Thanks folks - it's a model 487/1 by the way and it's in need of a little work. The steam pipe's come adrift at the cylinder end and the gauge glass doesn't look as if it's 'sitting' right.
The paintwork is not in good condition, I'm afraid that's not all dirt you can see, a lot of it is corrosion. A good clean up is the first thing though before I can see if any repainting's warranted.
But first there's an L5 to sort out...well actually there's two L5's to sort out. More on that story later!
