My new toy :)My new toy arived on Saturday
But I wasnt in
So its been at the post office all weekend
Anyway I,ve got it now
Its a Wilson Bros. vertical steam engine made around 1948
The build quality is really good and the base plate looks to be the same colour
As the Luton Bowman base plates, its all so got the zink alloy flywheel which the Mastrands had
Well hope you guys like the pics

A lovely engine Mike!
I like odd engines like that

That is a really super engine Mike, and in fantastic condition. It is the smaller, and I think rarer, of the two Wilsons by the way.

Very nice indeed Mike, I was able to inspect one at close quarters at Kempton last year, I must say they are very attractive little machines, getting good prices too.

Thx very much guys
The condition of the engine suprised me, its just about perfect
The red paint has come off one side of the flywheel for some reason
And of course as with the Mastrand flywheels there are a few airline cracks
Apart from that its pritty much in perfect condition, it also had the funnel
And instructions in the box which was a plesent suprise

Easily the best I have seen, a few have come up recently with big money being paid for what I consider beaters...

A fine addition to the stable, you don't see too many of them around.

Thx for all the nice comments guys
Thats a beauty Mike the Kempton one, interesting to see it says 22 shillings on the box
I wonder how that compared to other engines on the market at that time
Does anyone have a photo of the box for the other Wilson engine
