My First 0-16.5 engine kitYesterday at Guildex I bought a S & D Models body kit for a Barclay Class E 0-4-0WT, as well as the chassis to go with it. The chassis is a Mehano one, which is fitted to the International Hobb Corp.'s 0-4-0 Dockside engine. At the moment, I am modifying the chassis as per instructions.
The chassis with light bulb, weight, rear coupler and front buffer beam removed. I now need to file the buffer beam supports flush with the cylinder/saddle casting and file off the air pipe on the RHS of the saddle.

Thanks Will and John. I have already decided the livery, name and number, although as I am rather secretive over such things you will all have to wait until the three are applied

Chassis is semi-completed, just needs touching up around the cylinder covers. I have also started work on the boiler, so pics in a minute or two. All the parts have had the 'flash' from the casting process filed off too, so (theoretically) it should all slot together now!

Where the silver has spilled over onto the buffer beam it will be touched in with red upto the OD of the cylinder cover.
