Multum Workshop

I have just finished my first workshop, using some of the Multum tools.

The curious thing about Multum tools is that they made 4 - fan, circular saw, hack saw and grinder - but the lineshaft only has 3 drive pullies.  Even on Multum's own workshops one tool (the grinder) was not connected to the lineshaft.

i like that Very Happy .they look fairly similar to the SEL tools

I have one of the saws . . . they are nice, fragile but attractive. Great with an SEL engine.

Thats lovely John  Very Happy
Regarding the pullies
As you say they had three steel pullies and the flywheel was grooved to take the fourth tool

Nice and simple John, a touch of the 'Mersey' about the base!

Do my eyes decieve me or does that grinder have a polishing mop on this side? How come, is this a 'Chapman' modification?

Interesting - only I've got the SEL version and it's got a double grinding disc, a la Mamod.

Now that's interesting i've not come accross  that before .  Neither of my lineshafts have a groove on the flywheel for the fourth tool, maybe it was a later modification.

How does the engine drive the shaft then?
John Chapman

Thanks for the kind words gents.  I agree they are very SEL like, not as robust though.

I've got a Multum motor, another grinder and second lineshaft, so two more tools and a second workshop is on the cards.  If anyone has any Multum tools they might want to sell, particularly a hacksaw, I'd be delighted to hear from you.  Wink
