ManxmanWell my chance to say hello to a few old friends and a few new ones. I've been interested in toy steam since being given a TE1a as a boy in the early 1970's. My interest really got going again in about 1999 / 2000 when my own children reached an age to appreciate the joy of meths and matches. Their interest lasted less than a summer but I was hooked again.
My collection includes those for running and those for the shelf. I have engines from the full range of the history of our hobby with my oldest model dating to about 1906 (ish) and my newest 2006.
Just a couple of things more, why Manxman, well I live on the Isle of Man and my collection (for those of you who don't know me) is all mobiles. I'll look forward to posting some pics of my collection over the coming weeks.

Well now seems like a good time to say hello again. Although I've been a member of the forum for some time, I've been unable to post. Mike has sorted these problems now and this is my first attempt at sending a post. If all goes well, I hope to be able to share with the fun on these boards in the coming weeks.
My collection has grown again since last summer, but still remains mobile. My most recent additions have been from the American market and I've been able to add a few Weeden mobiles to my collection.
Although not posting, I have been reading the forum most days and have seen some brill engines in recent months. I'm looking forward to catching up with everyone, both old friends and new ones.
