i bought this little baby off one of our members as a non-runner
a little bit of soldering on the whistle joint and a little bit of oil in the right places and she now runs like a good-un

That's a good engine I'm sure. It looks like it's had a bit of 'treatment' in the past but as it runs well you've now got a choice over if and when and to what degree you restore it - NICE.

It looked to be running well on compressed air so hopefully all will be well with steam.

Feeling rather guilty that I never got around to sorting it out myself  Embarassed

Hey Chris, sometimes it's best to pass these things on - that's up to the individual.

Personally, I love the restoration bit more than steaming 'em! The result is that there's always a backlog of things to do and never enough time to do them in!

That's my hobby though.
