hi guys, been putting it off for too long now, the time has come i really do need to fit a new bonnet on my old mamod sa1 car, drilling the rivets etc looks straightforward enough but i just can't figure out how the steering wheel removes, anyone got any ideas please. alan

Alan the steering wheel is attached to the shift by locktite superglue. I would suggest that the front wheels are held firm and then the steering column gently twisted, the wheel should then break free, this could be easy of hard, depending on how well the glue has been applied.

Cynoacrylate (superglue) is weakest in shear, so Mike's spot on - careful but determined twisting should work, no use trying to pull it!

Thanks guys, i've done it now, i just didnt want to tug on it and break it only to find it had a screw thread that was stuck, done that before
