Mamod Rubber Feet & Eyelets

I'm coming to the end of a restoration of my flatbase SE1 and I'm contemplating the feet on the base.

I think I have found some suitable black rubber feet at maplins, can anyone confirm dimentions?.

No about the eyeletts, can anyone tell me the diameter of them. Both ID and OD, and if they were finished in brass or silver.

I'm hoping the internal hole is 1/8 of an inch, near enough 3mm or 0.3cm for you dressmakers. Wink

I bought some ''for 4mm holes'' ones off Ebay to find that the ID is 4mm so they need a 5.5mm hole and will not fit. Seller must have been a halfwit...... Evil or Very Mad .

many thanks in advance

You want tubular rivets not eyelets, 5/32" od. I have seen both steel and brass ones. I do have some if you get stuck

Tubular rivets are flat across the top:

I bought this for only $2, it comes with an assortment of brass, steel, copper, and black painted eyelets. I will be using both brass and steel, as I've also seen both used on engines:

I have such a tool, but the eyelets it came with are too big, as do yours to be honest.

The 1/8 (3mm) eyelets look perfect, trouble is everywhere that sell them want buttons for 100no , then best part of a fiver for postage!.

I mite try and make some tonight if I have the time, out of some brass tube.

There are many different types of Rivet, eyelets are one but they are meant for very thin materials such as fabric, leather, etc
We order Tubular Rivets by the 10,000 in various sizes, these are 4mm OD, 0.4mm thick material, 5mm long
