Everything there, that will refurb very well indeed. Id paint the firebox myself. I definately loose the wooden base, Ive seen a number of nice engines on these horrible bases - they are tacky. Just my opinion! The exhaust pipe is a straight forward resolder job.

I do not like the wooden base it looks crap I will need to make the boiler bracket as the old one it not a bad one to do.

Some Luton boilers were screwed into postion by the strap, some have the strap which hooks under the firebox lugs - both are quite fragile.

Here is the other boiler securing method:
You might be able to cut out some lugs on the firebox and use self tapping screws, or nut and bolt approach, unless you have a spare firebox.

My 201 has the strap and lug approach.

That screwed attachment for the boiler retaining band looks b*****y aweful! You sure it's original Mike?

Yes there seems to be two types of boiler securing band, clip and screw type. Im not altogether sure if the screws on mine are original.

As far as I can make out from the source material I have, (including vol. 2 of Colin Laker's wonderful new book) The earliest variation of the PW201 had the clip type boiler securing band, tall chimney and single slot burner. The later variants had the screw fixed boiler securing band, short chimney and multiple slit burner. Now, whether these changes all happened at the same time or if it was a process of evolution I don't know.
Something I did not know before reading Colin's book is that the PW201 was avilable in kit form.

I think there was a pic a few years ago in Bowman new of the kit version.
If memory serves me correct it's never been assembled & pristine in it's box.
