Little GiantI was going to post this as another "whats in the box?" threads but on reflection I thought it a bit unfair. Some of our regular STEAM subscribers would have somewhat of an advantage
Well here is the box.
Now the engine looks nothing like it does on the box. I think they call it artistic license. Many adverts from the past have suffered from these drawing discrepancies including the SE4 and Bowman 101
A very simple decal
The engine is built from very very heavy gauge materials, (think Burnac and you will be close) very simply constructed. Just look at this burner.
Very little is known about these engines, there was a nice article in STEAM a number of years ago but the name, year and place of manufacture are all unknown. The engine was sold by Gamages and two variations were made , this one and a similar overtype, the overtype has yet to be found. Interestingly two sets of instructions were originally supplied, one by the manufacture and one by Gamages, it is not known why this was done.

You do have a knack of finding prime examples & this is no exception.

Wow - what a find.
Is that a hex nut forming the 'big end'? Was that standard? The burner's extraordinary!
Could this be one of the first attempts to stem the flow of german imports?
