Latest addition to the Silver Fox Collection

By accident rather than design, I recently aquired this little Bowman M158 as part of an OFAS 'job lot'. Badly rusted and siezed up, with the dome missing, it was crying out early attention:

Here's the result...

Quite pleased really (!) - I'll post up a series of photos in the 'three R's thread'.

PS - Anyone got a spare burner?
Spokesmann

Looking very smart, burners alas are a B*gger to get hold of. MF may be able to make one for you.

A brilliant transformation mate! Well done Very Happy

Brilliant job Stephen, most impressive, it's always good to see a classic engine rescued from the scrap yard.  I like the before and after photos.  In the enthusiasm to strip an engine down for restoration I always seem to forget to take a "before" photo.

Thanks John. It can be a bit of a pain taking the 'shots' in the rush to get on with it, as you say! I did it specifically with the forum members in mind to make for a more interesting thread.

just wanted to comment on what a nice job you've done there, the first picture doesn't rally command a second look, but the second one does, lovely.

Hi and thanks very much for taking the trouble to comment. I'm sure you'll find a whole lot more to capture your interest and fire the imagination.
