large old steam planthave just got this large very heavy plant,swapped it for the stuart turner 10V shown in pic so as size of plant can be gauged.it is a fire tube coal fired boiler and vertical engine which also drives a boiler feed pump.very dirty and oily but the stuart stood me at £94 so think i have done o.k.dont know whether to restore it,leave as is or sell it as yet.opinions please.

Although not my area, sympathetic cleaning and degreasing would be my advice. I think MF calls it symapathetic conservation. Hopefully it will steam.

yes,i think you are right,i know someone with a car valeting buisiness and think i will take it on and get him to steam clean it for me.

Wow, that's big. Is it a model, or a full-size plant? Either way, I'd say you made a good trade.

Interesting that it has a pressure gauge in BAR not PSI.
That wood will come up nicely, looks quite an old design but I cant shed any further light on a manufacturer
