I'm hoping to go to Kempton, but i'm away the weekend before & may struggle to get an all day pass for this. I've still not been forgiven for taking SWMBO to Kempton last year on Mothers day

I won't be at either, sadly, Cornwall tends to be a long way from anywhere. I've had a look on the AA route planner and it's a 475 mile round trip to both Amberley and Kempton.
Maybe next year.

It started as just Mamods I think, but after conversing with the organiser I think most older, classic engines are encouraged.
Im taking a mix of Mamods from 1937-78 and a selection of English engines, Bowman etc.

Well Im just about done, I had a day off work today to finish everything, Ive got engines, meths, tools, fire prevention apparatus (ie big wet cloth! ) and decals and stickers and a full supporting cast of nuts/bolts/Meccano and things . . . Looking forward very much to meeting enthusiasts over the weekend . . .

Just got back from the first day at Amberley - nice sunny day, lots of steam and some good fun with fellow Mamod followers, back again tomorrow. Hopefully lots of pics to post from those of us who were there.

As MF says Ill do a full report with pics and vids tomorrow, I got back about 10 after a 500 mile round trip, 4.5 hour drive from Amberley this evening,Im shattered.
A very worth while weekend though.

I myself had a Wilesco Locomobile on show (my best runner by all accounts), Andy has a brass roller, which carries a Showmans headstock and Steve from the other forum had one of the very first Wilesco mobiles (a brass and steel Traktor) as well as one of the first Traktors in blue.
I'm seeing what buildings we will have available next year, as space will be tight again I would imagine...
