the red baased is a fleischmann 120. as you can see, missing the end cap
the jensen i believe is a late 80's to late 90's

Take the drive spring off the governor and you'll get the engine to tick over at a slower speed.
I'm terrible at remembering the dates of these things, but Gil will be able to tell you the age of it.

It's most likely joined together where two hooks meet, or there is a chance it's the other style spring where a tapered end screws into the other end. Just look for the joint and you'll know what I'm talking about.

tahnks! i plan on doing some modifications both cosmetic and in performance.
painting certain parst a ceartain color (undecided yet) and adding a two stage pulley and also (if by some chance i find one) a chunkier flywheel

I finally found my pictures I was looking for. This is the spring of a Jensen 65's governor and your engine will likely have the same design.
Look for this:
And unhook it. The ends look like this:

they are well worth their price and ship world wide i highly recomend (even though im still learning)
