I am pleased with it but wife thinks it should have a flywheel and cylinder on it
and it does look a little big next to the beam engine it was made for !!

Impressive - very impressive.
Do you reckon that the guage is accurate Dennis? Did you have a 30psi working pressure in mind when you made the s/v? It was great to actually see the pressure rising, is the s/v large enough to protect the boiler though? That burner works really well, I like the flame adjustment plate.

I would like to think the gauge is reasonable accurate but unsure.
the SV appears to start releasing in the low 20s it was not designed with 30 in mind but it is adjustable like the BriMo ones . you will note that when I held the valve down and let the pressure build up to near 40 and took the pliers off the pressure comes down as the valve releases . and as for the sliding burner lid !! well it does not work as well as I hoped

Looking at the video again (now I can!), I see what you mean about the s/v - it's more than up to the job.
I think your adjustable burner idea's a really good one. Maybe the slide needs to be a closer fit?
