Matt there are some markings on the boiler, can you make out what is on them at all? The engine looks to be a donkey engine of some type, I would hazard a guess German. Some of our German engine fans would be able to identify it better than I can. Can you give us some still iamges of the engine too?
Welcome to Freesteam by the way.

Welcome to the forum
Where are you located, this may give us some clue to the engines origin.
Possibly southern hemisphere?

Wow - that's interesting. I think a series of more detailed still photos would help.
Bit of conjecture though, is that an electric wire leading into it at the base? Could it be early American - Weeden or Empire?
Or even maybe French with the style of boiler!
More piccies please!

Welcome to the forum mate
Looks American to me, i'd say it was one of the huge numbers of cheap engines made after WW2 in the US, but I am no expert! I have a similar 'Mity Mite' made in post war US and has similar features to yours.

Welcome to Freesteam Mat
Your engine could be English, I know Bonds made a similer engine to yours
I cant find my photo of it at the moment though to compare it

Im sorry for the slow response. I and the engine are in the US. Texas to be exact. After extensive work the lottle thing runs great. This is my second engine. The first is a Mamod Minor 1. I will throw in a pic of her also. The Mamod was a stored in a coffee can in a mechanics shop for many many years. I restored it also.I got the best photos I could here they are.

to me the top of label appears to read
WATT SPECIAL
Specialty Instrument & Machine inc Pittsburgh
volts 110-115 AC or DC .Watts - 250
Manufactured for *A ******IER(C?)
that is with just a little bit of assumption

That is a logical assumtion, but it yeilds no results. I have filled the blanks every wich way and keep coming up empty.

Now far be it from me to get a little big headed ( ), but I think I conjectured 'US maker' at the start of this!
Aw, go on, it's not often I'm right - let me bask in the glory a bit!
Jim guessed the nationality too, I recall.
Nice bit of detective work on the vic, now we ID'd the perp, we just need to locate him and find some previous.
Let's leave no stone unturned, no search engine unquestioned, no forum unapproached - well maybe we draw the line there.
Now let's get out there and nail this guy!

Nice little Minor by the way Matt.
What have you arranged for the burner? How does the (copper?) pipe come into play?
