I need burner and fuel help?I am trying to build an alchahol burner for a MM1. I cant seem to get it right. Can anyone offer photos or tips on how to do this with items I may have around? |

Matt have a look at this thread:
http://freesteammamod.myfreeforum.org/about2808.html It shows the meths burner for an MM1, they were later very thin solid fuel pans as well. Forest Classics amongst other do replacement meths burners, the solid fuel pans do come up from time to time on evilbay. |

which are you making, the 1 wick burner or the vapour type? |

I think the vapor type. With alchahol and cotton |

As Gremlin says the wick type one is another option. |

Have a look at the base inside the firebox. It will be pressed to accept the burner. If it's an older, wick type, it'll have a V-shaped 'holder' for the wick tube. If it's designed for a vapour (or solid fuel) it'll have an oblong 'seat' for the burner.
