STEAM/SMOKE IS FAIRLY EASY TO ADD TO AN IMAGE.

The correct software is essential - I would recommend something like Photoshop - which is what I use. The image can be preserved by adding layers to the original file, adjusting the transparency and colour behaviour to the layers - several can be added depending on the degree of complexity required, masking the areas you don't want 'steamed' and being able to select the areas you do want treated. Id use the airbrush tool, brush and rubber stamp tools to do the steam effect. Once happy with the final image and adjustment of the transparent layers the whole image can be 'flattened' onto one layer and exported as a Jpeg/Tiff or EPS file.

Its a bit too technical to show without an image or some screen grabs. if you remind me again Ill see what I can do for you . . .

Thats the stuff . . . the degree of control and complexity depends on what you want, it is a very 'variable' effect that can be controlled in many ways . . .  Smile
