Oh I'd almost forgotten that! One of the admin team there kindly promoted it didn't they? Something about 'feel free' to join Freesteam. (Does that fall under advertising, recommendation, or both? ) As time progressed and more people were enjoying posting here, something about 'feel free' to post on either forum and 'that as long as you abide by our rules here your membership is safe and you are welcome.' Not forgetting, of course, their over-confident attitude that after 'your brief visit there you will return here' 
Hmmm ... Strange how many people have ended up preferring the freedom Freesteam offers? Strange how they deny Freesteam membership to a toy steam related web-ring that that admin team member there himself controls? And strange that the sticky promoting Freesteam there soon lost it's adhesive qualities
Perhaps they will continue the rue the promotion they glibly gave at our inception?

Found it through a PM from Mike, and I take pride in being an active member of both forums (and indeed the Yahoo toy steam and Bowman groups).
As long as it's about steam I'll subscribe to it....
