Hornby dublo trainsetnow that our children have flown the nest we have the back bedroom spare and am thinking about a Hornby dublo three rail trainset on a board of sat 8ft x 5ft,there are some really nice sets/accesories on ebay.i think the dublo three rail is THE trainset of the fifties but know little about them,what is more collectable than others etc.also will the original transformers work o.k. off todays mains supply?

What voltage do they operate on? I would have thought with the correct track adaptor they could be made to work OK. I used to have a few Dublo 3-rail type engines using the central rail pick up system.
