Help with a WeedenThis is a plea for help. I've just paid for this and it's on it's way from America. This is the only pic I have and it was sold to me as a Fleischmann Roller.
It is in fact a rare large Weeden Roller No644. These were made between 1924 and 1935. During the production span of the Roller, 3 major changes were made to the model.
1) move from a spoked flywheel to a solid flywheel.
2) fire box extended and 2 wick burner changed to 3/4 wick burner and
3) a whistle added.
This model must be very early, it has spoked flywheel, 2 wick burner and no whistle (ok it has a whistle but that's in the safety valve hole).
I already have one of these but the version I have is towards the end of the run and has 2 of the 3 'upgrades' in place.
Now, here's the problem. My new Roller has no cab. The cab just slips on to the back of the Roller and has come off at some time in the past.
Can anyone make me a copy? I can send someone the cab I have (to help with measurements etc). I just don't have the ability to cut / bend / stick metal that is needed for this kind of project.
I will of course pay for the work. I hope that this is an old lady that can be brought back to her full glory again with a bit of loving care.
So, can anyone cut /bend /stick metal and will they help me by making me a cab.
Thanks
Chris (Manx)

Yes good luck, I would love to help but my pattern work skills are for thick plate development. If I was a sheetmetal chap and not a plater I'd love to be of assistance.
Somebody, somewhere would be flattered to help with that job.
